Privacy Policy for WorshipStorm Viewer

WorshipStorm Viewer (“Viewer”) shows the words of songs on your own phone, in time with the screen at the front of the room. This policy explains what Viewer does and does not collect.
Viewer is provided by kadosh3, llc. It stands on its own: you do not need an account with us, and you do not need a Planning Center account. Joining a service with Viewer creates no relationship between you and Planning Center, and this policy is the only one that governs your use of Viewer.
1. We Do Not Collect Personal Information
Viewer does not ask who you are, and has no way to find out.
There is no sign-up, no sign-in, and no account. We do not collect or store your name, email address, phone number, postal address, contacts, photos, precise location, or payment details. Nothing you do in Viewer is attached to your identity, because Viewer holds no identity to attach it to.
We do not sell any information, and we do not use anything Viewer records for advertising or to build a profile of you.
2. Joining a Service
You join by entering a short code or scanning a QR code. The code identifies the service being broadcast, not you.
To receive the words, your device is given an anonymous access credential — a random identifier created by our provider so your device can be allowed to read that broadcast. It is not linked to your name or to any account, it is not shared with the church or with the person running the presentation, and it tells us nothing about who is holding the phone.
Viewer is read-only. It sends nothing back to the presenter, and other people in the congregation cannot see that you are connected, what you are reading, or how you are using it.
3. Analytics
Viewer uses Google Analytics to understand how the app is used, so that it can be made to work better on real phones in real rooms.
What is measured is limited to how the app behaves — for example that a session was joined, that a connection dropped and recovered, that the text size was changed, or how long a session lasted. It also includes standard technical information such as your device type, operating system, and browser version.
No personal identifiers are recorded with any of it. Viewer’s analytics has no facility for identifying a user or a church — that capability is deliberately absent from the code rather than merely unused, and the complete list of what may be recorded is fixed in the source so nothing new can be added by accident.
As with any internet service, our providers process your IP address in order to deliver the page to you. Google may use it to infer an approximate region; it is not used by us to identify you, and we do not store it.
4. Permissions
Viewer asks for as little as possible, and only at the moment it is needed.
- Camera — requested only if you choose to scan a QR code, and used only to read that code. The camera view is not recorded, stored, or transmitted anywhere. You can always decline and type the code instead.
- Keeping the screen awake — so your phone does not dim in the middle of a song.
Viewer does not request access to your microphone, contacts, photos, location, health data, or any other sensitive information.
5. Information Stored on Your Device
Viewer remembers your display choices — light or dark theme, and lyric text size — and the code of the last service you successfully joined, so you do not have to type it in again.
All of it stays on your device and is never sent to us. The remembered code identifies a service, not a person: it is the same short code shown to everyone else in the room. It is saved only once a code has actually worked, so a code typed by mistake is never kept. Clearing your browser’s data for this site removes everything Viewer has stored.
6. Service Providers
Viewer is delivered using Google Firebase (hosting, anonymous access, and the live connection that carries the words) and Google Analytics. These providers process information on our behalf in order to run the service. We do not share information with anyone else.
7. Children’s Privacy
Viewer is used by whole congregations, and that will include children.
Viewer collects no personal information from anyone, of any age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children, and there is nothing in Viewer for a child to disclose — no name to enter, no account to create, and no message to send.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy. Any change will be posted on this page with a new effective date, and Viewer will continue to be built so that it needs no personal information to work.
